Four towns. Four walks. One community coming together for Great Oaks Hospice.

On Sunday 18th October, we’re inviting our community to pull on their walking shoes and join us for The Great Great Oaks Walk – a special 5K walk where every step can mean something.

You might be walking in memory of someone special, alongside someone you love, to say thank you for care received, or simply because you want to support Great Oaks Hospice. Whatever brings you to the start line, we’ll all be walking together for the same reason – to help Great Oaks continue to be there for our community.

This year there are four walks to choose from, all starting at 10.30am:

Coleford – starting and finishing at Great Oaks Hospice
Cinderford – starting and finishing at Cinderford RFC
Lydney – starting and finishing at Lydney Football Club
Newent – at Newent Lake, with parking available in the nearby public car park, which is free on Sundays

Each route is approximately 5K, and this isn’t a race. Take your time, enjoy the walk, share memories and enjoy being part of something special with friends, family and the wider community.

Everyone is welcome, including well-behaved dogs on leads, and entry is just £5 per person, with under-15s FREE.

Every registration and every step helps raise vital funds so that Great Oaks Hospice can continue providing its services free of charge to people who need them.
