How we care
Great Oaks provides supportive, palliative and end of life care programmes according to the ongoing and changing needs of our community, All of our services are free of charge and provided by experienced staff, supported by trained volunteers.
Do you need support to adjust to the changes you need to make to live with your illness or condition? We can offer care and support especially at times of crisis such as shortly after diagnosis; when treatment is found to be no longer curative; as everyone involved come to terms with this change; and at the very end, especially if you wish to be cared for at home.
Then Great Oaks is here to help you….
How do we do it? We discuss with you just what is affecting your quality of life right now, and then seek a way to help you to address your needs appropriately.
What Services can we offer? This will depend on what you and/or your support network need and the resources we have available. Find out more about our services below.
Who do we support? We can be there for individuals from diagnosis onwards, our support extends to families and the support network of carers, friends, etc.; and we are there for bereaved carers coming to terms with their loss.
